"Now here's an apple for you," cackled the old hag. Wait till you taste it, dearie, it's delicious. Determined to be the fairest of them all, the Wicked Queen conjured herself into a toothless old peddler woman and offered Snow White a poisoned apple. A climactic moment in the film's storytelling is perfectly rendered in a scene juxtaposing the forces of good and evil. A study in contrasts, the artist's mastery brilliantly depicts the innocence of Snow White and the treachery of the Queen.
